Inside, the architecture has real personality: soaring brick dome ceilings, a spiral staircase and Saltillo tile floors. Four bedrooms, all en-suite, sleep up to 8, and the villa sits about a mile and a half from downtown, so it is a quieter, ocean-view retreat with the town a short drive away.

Indoor Living

Inside, Villa Bougainvillea has genuine architectural character — soaring brick dome ceilings, a dramatic spiral staircase and Saltillo tile floors throughout. The living room and the gourmet kitchen, with its custom tile counters and stainless-steel appliances, both take in the Pacific view, and the open living spaces connect out to the terrace. All four bedrooms are en-suite, each comfortably furnished with its own private bathroom, and air conditioning and wireless internet run throughout. It is a home with personality rather than a generic modern build — traditional Mexican craft with the ocean as the backdrop.

Outdoor Living

The main terrace is the heart of the villa: a pool and jacuzzi set into beautifully landscaped grounds, with a well-designed barbecue area and room to lounge and dine outside. It is oriented to the Pacific, so it is the natural spot for sunset — drinks by the pool as the sky changes, then dinner off the grill. The planting gives the terrace a lush, private feel, and the pool deck flows directly off the main living spaces for easy indoor-outdoor days.
