Why this villa works

Villa Ysabel is a remodeled hacienda-style villa set into the hills of gated Pedregal, on the marina side of Cabo San Lucas. Its draw is location and views: it is within walking distance of downtown, the marina, restaurants and fishing charters, and it looks out over the marina, the Sea of Cortez, the Pedregal hills and the city lights. Five bedrooms — a mix of main-house rooms and private casitas stepping down the hillside — sleep up to 10, a good fit for two families or a group who want their own space with shared areas to gather. The pool terrace, with a swim-up bar and a hot tub that spills into the pool, is the heart of the villa.

Indoor Living

The main house has an authentic Mexican feel — Saltillo tile floors, Cantera stone steps between levels, and locally made furniture, art and decorative touches. The fully equipped kitchen looks over the great room, so whoever is cooking stays part of the group. Bedrooms are spread across levels: two private casitas, each with its own entrance and bathroom, sit along the hillside above an outdoor covered dining space, while two king bedrooms on the pool level open directly onto the pool deck. Air conditioning and wireless internet run throughout.

Outdoor Living

Outdoors is where Villa Ysabel shines. A hot tub waterfalls into a free-form pool, with a swim-up bar alongside and an umbrella-shaded outdoor dining area set up with a barbecue, refrigerator, sink and a poolside half-bath. A separate covered dining space lower on the hillside seats eight to ten. The terraces look out over the marina and the Sea of Cortez, and the layout gives groups several places to gather or break off — around the pool, at the bar, or over a long lunch in the shade.

Bedrooms

Five bedrooms sleep up to 10. Two hillside casitas each have a queen bed, a private en-suite bathroom and their own entrance; two pool-level king rooms open onto the pool deck with Sea of Cortez views — one en-suite, the other with a private detached bathroom. The fifth suite is a self-contained king with a kitchenette, living room and a large Sea-and-marina-view balcony; it has its own entrance and locks off, so the villa can be booked as four bedrooms or five.

Can you book Villa Ysabel as four bedrooms instead of five?
Yes. The fifth suite is a self-contained lock-off — a king room with its own kitchenette, living room, entrance and Sea-and-marina-view balcony. It can be included for a party of up to 10, or locked off so the villa is booked as four bedrooms for a smaller group.
Is Villa Ysabel within walking distance of town?
Yes. It is on the marina side of Pedregal, within walking distance of downtown Cabo San Lucas, the marina, restaurants, shopping and the fishing charters — one of the more walkable villa locations in the community.
Are all the bedrooms en-suite?
Four of the five bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. One of the two pool-level king rooms has a private but detached bathroom rather than en-suite. There is also a poolside half-bath by the outdoor dining area. The villa has 5.5 bathrooms in total.
